Training Body and Mind

Loveland Tae Kwon-Do has a staff of committed volunteer instructors to teach you the art of ITF-style TKD self defense at an affordable price.  Our friendly instructors do not judge you by your ability or inability.  We value your sincerity to learn and your willingness to try.  At times we also invite guest instructors from other martial arts disciplines to share their skills and occasionally, hand-to-hand weapon training.

No contracts, no hidden fees, no black belt charges.  Our intention is to preserve this art and share our skills with dedicated students at an affordable price with a family-friendly atmosphere.  The club is run in the interest of all members.  The goals we wish to encourage are in developing skills to protect our members in real life situations and not as much of a focus in pushing our students through the ranks.  Our students will learn:  Self-control, self reliance, motivation, self-discipline, sense of community, self respect, determination, confidence, self esteem, and of course self defense.

For the safety of our members, we recommend that they be 10 years old or older if attending solo.  However, children between 6 and 9 may be accepted with a small pretest.  Based on the results, we may request a guardian in attendance if minor concerns are identified or offer that the candidate may apply again the following year.  Students found to be misusing the art, for example, threatening or bullying others; or violating our codes of honor (CIPSI and the traditional ITF student oath) will have their membership revoked.  We will do our best to accommodate those with disabilities if notified in advance of your challenges, but please be aware this is a very active sport that may present unusual obstacles.
